Brief Profile Of Western Province
Western province is characterized by difficult geographical and climatic conditions. It has limited arable land resources that can sustain crop production. Since independence the province has experienced a period of economic relative isolation compared to other provinces. The province is also characterized by high population densities in certain areas especially the river valleys and the plains.
The main aims of the CSPR activities were to sensitise and educate members of the public, other NGOs, CBOs, Government functionaries and other interested groups and individuals about the objectives and activities of CSPR as well as to gather some input from them so that they would effectively participate in decision-making processes in the economy and governance of the country.
Area Of Coverage
The coverage area for the PPMT is the entire Western Province though for the time being due to Financial Constraints, the major focus has been around Mongu, where the PPMT has an office to support the implementation of the CSPR activities.
