Social Protection is a right that should be enjoyed by every Zambian citizen. Effective social security systems guarantees income security and health protection, consequently contributing to the prevention and reduction of poverty and inequality and promoting social inclusion and human dignity. The current poverty statistics stand at 54.4 % with 76.6% found in rural areas and the remainder in urban areas. CSPR through the Social Security and Justice program aims to increase awareness and the voice of citizens to demand transparency and accountability as government delivers public services.
