The ‘Fostering Child-Led Accountability in National Planning and Budgeting’ project is supported by Save the Children International. The overall objective is to promote child-centered social accountability for increased resource allocation and public expenditure on the realization of children’s right to protection, survival, and development in Eastern and Luapula Province. The specific objectives are:
To enhance the participation of community members and community based organizations in the monitoring of government’s accountability in the implementation of national and district development programs for children in Eastern and Luapula Province level by the end of 2023.
To strengthen the capacity of children and community members to participate in local level planning and budgeting processes for education, health, and social protection sectors in Luapula and Eastern Province by the year 2023.
To increase awareness among duty bearers and service providers on child focused budgeting for improved provision of education, health, social protection, and community service for children between the ages of 0-17 years old in Eastern and Luapula Province by the end of 2023.
